The Indian Navy is preparing to commission the sixth indigenous stealth frigate under Project 17A, INS Mahendragiri (F38), on July 11 at Visakhapatnam. This event underscores India's growing proficiency in designing and constructing advanced naval vessels. Named after the Mahendragiri mountain range in the Eastern Ghats, the warship was developed by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau (WDB) and constructed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai.
